Sleep deprivation and waterboarding

It's been a tough couple of weeks for the Squidgenen

After another horrible night, we took Carter to the doctor...again...it turns out that, while his middle-ear infection cleared up in one ear, it had become extremely bad in the other; so serious that he was at risk of a burst ear-drum. As a result, Carter was put on another course of a different form of antibiotics, and prescribed Otrivin, nasal drops not designed for children under two years old...but due to the seriousness of the infection, the advantages supposedly outweighed the risks...fills you with confidence, doesn't it!! So, picture this: a frantic 12 month old with severe middle-ear infection develops tonsillitis and becomes even more miserable, and twice a day is forced to lie onto his back while the Otrivin drops are administered and held there so as to give the drops time to travel into his sinuses. I think waterboarding would've been less cruel. On top of this he is given antibiotics and dymadon which he absolutely loves!

A couple of days on and Carter has started to get better. But in a horrible twist of fate, Linc has developed severe tonsillitis (diagnosed at yet ANOTHER visit to the doctor, which was initially meant for Carter!) and has had fevers on and off for the past two days with a horrible, painful cough followed by gagging and screaming. Which is just so much fun during the night. So here we go again with a stronger dose of antibiotics and even more dymadon down the gob.
