Trip to the coast with friends

Last weekend the family headed to the coast to spend a few days with some friends and their kids. It was a lovely spot, really close to the beach, with fantastic weather for the duration of our 3 night stay. Unfortunately the waves were pretty loud and resulted in Linc preferring the relative calm of the park swimming pool, rather than the tumultuous rumble of the sea!

In other news, another tooth has broken through (top centre right) with the one next to it not too far behind! In addition, Linc now walks really well, but still doesn't stand up without using something to pull himself up...

First of all, he still only has one tooth! We're sure a few more aren't far behind, but none have broken through just yet...

He continues to improve on his walking skills - his main barrier remains his confidence, as when he's distracted he'll walk from one end of the house to the other (almost!)...

To give a run down of a typical day (notwithstanding the regular outings) it goes something like this:

07:30 - wake up.

07:35 - 200ml bottle of Heinz Nurture 2 Gold (4 scoops).

09:00 - breakfast - Rafferty's Garden organic baby's banana porridge with Rafferty's fruit (e.g. banana+pear+mango with milk.

10:15 - sleep time.

11:30ish - wake up.

12:30 - lunch time - piece of toast with butter/vegemite/tuna or whatever is in the cupboard, then fruit (nectarine/banana etc.) and a yoghurt.

15:00 - bottle (same as morning bottle)

15:30ish - sleep

16:45ish - wake up.

17:30ish - dinner time - Rafferty's Garden something like sweet potato and lamb casserole, then maybe some form of custard.

19:30 - bottle

19:45 - bedtime!

And yes, he sleeps through the entire night without stirring...

He loves his swing set (birthday gift from Mum and Dad) - he giggles when you tickle his feet as he's swinging...

Linc's first adventures as a 1 year old

When you're the big O-N-E you can't afford to be without two very important things...

1 - a haircut
2 - a bank account.

So Mum and Dad took Linc out today to open up his very own bank account (with a nice little deposit thanks to some generous grandparents!) and also to have his very first haircut. He was so well behaved for the hairdresser and didn't cry at all - unlike when he had THREE needles this morning due to his 12 month immunisation...poor little guy...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINCOLN!

A big happy first birthday to Lincoln! Mum did heaps of cooking, including (with the help of her sister - thanks Chook!) these wonderful Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird cupcakes - and of course, an Elmo Cake...

We had almost 40 people come and Linc was very well behaved - and an excellent host!

Thankyou to everybody for the wonderful gifts - they're keeping Linc entertained for hours!
