It's never fun going to hospital, so it was always going to be a emotionally draining day, but boy the result has made it all worthwhile!
The day started off with an 0900 arrival at John James Private Hospital. We booked in, they checked Linc's vital stats and pumped 10ml of Pandol into him. Then we waited. And waited. At 11:18am he was off to the operating theatre (with Mum)... and by 12:00pm it was all over, although he slept until about 12:30pm.
The surgery was a success, two grommets inserted (eustachian tube gunk removed), adenoids (which were unusually large) removed and a touch of nasal cauterisation.
He recovered from the general anaesthetic really well; not like another little boy who had similar surgery who was very unwell. A couple of iceblocks and some jelly and we were able to leave by about 4pm. Easy as pie! Then the challenge was keeping him quiet for the next few days, but we kind of gave up trying...!
