Addi sitting up and waving / Linc first adult tooth

The last six months have flown by; it seems the busier life is, the faster it passes you by. Addi is getting better at sitting on her own (she still falls over every now and then) and has even started waving; it's not a full wave, just a flop of the arm - but we'll take it!

Lincoln also has his first adult tooth coming through; it won't be long until we are sizing him for braces, i'm sure...!

Coast trip and Linc loses his first tooth

In the hope of making this last school holidays a little more exciting, we booked a holiday at Murramarang for five nights. It was really good, although it rained every day except the day we arrived! Packing a car in the rain after a washed-out holiday is such a depressing activity!

Anyhow, we still had a good time, and explored the nearby rocks, built sandcastles, and the kids rode their scooters all over the park, making some new friends in the process. We did get stuck on the rocks once in a massive downpour and all got soaked through to the bone (Addi stayed relatively dry in the baby bjorn, and was just happy to be at the beach for the first time ever!), and the kids thought it was quite hilarious.

As a special treat, Gran and Pop brought Bec and Lizzy to the coast who spent the day with us.

Lincoln has also (finally) 'lost' his first tooth. Okay, I pulled it out with pliers (like my father used to do to me!)... he was very brave, and so excited that he was going to get money from the tooth-fairy. She was pretty generous with the first tooth, leaving $5 and a matchbox car!

Lincoln loving AFL

Linc has been doing AFL for a while now; he joined a team with his friends from school and is really enjoying it. It's on at 1430 each Saturday, which is a much more sensible time than when he was doing soccer last season.

Today he scored a goal, so was super excited about that. Just have to work on his kicking a bit; poor effort on that one, Dad... He also had to deal with the player he was trying to mark getting really upset about it (third photo below) - he obviously needs to understand what the game is all about!

Unfortunately neither Linc nor Carter are enjoying Martial Arts, so what an absolute waste of money that was.

Two nights in a row of an un-interrupted eight hour sleep. Life's good again!

Except winter sux. It really does.
