Look who's walking...

Lincoln is slowly overcoming the next greatest challenge to a baby - walking... He's continued to improve with walking whilst holding onto your hand and has only recently started to stand on his own - although you have to distract him for it to happen, as when he realises that nobody is holding onto him (and he's not holding onto anything), he has a bit of a freak out and drops to the ground. But if you can distract him for long enough, he will stand for a good 5-6 seconds! And over the last week Mum and Dad have been doing some 'walking practice' where we pass him between our arms at a decent distance. Today he walked the furthest he has walked without assistance - approximately 5 metres - which was very exciting. The problem he faces though, is that he gets so carried away he loses concentration - and tends to topple head first (only one head/floor collision so far though!!!)...So it seems the only thing stopping him from walking around more often is the mental barrier...!

At 11 mths old Linc has hit the big one-oh - kilos that is! How he has grown...:

New addition to the family

For those more adventurous occasions, we needed a stroller that would meet the challenge - luckily Maclaren make just such a stroller (in England too!) - the MX3. With it's rugged, advanced alloy construction, matched with pneumatic tyres and cutting edge USD suspension forks, this is a stroller for the family on the move...up mountains....or down them...or on bumpy driveways...or, in Mum's case, just to the shops.

Linc 11 months old

It's scary to think he'll be a year old at the end of this month... we've already started getting prepared for his first birthday party! It's a secret theme, but involves a red furry thing, a blue furry thing, and a tall yellow feathery thing...

His tooth also continues to break through and doesn't appear to be causing him too many issues. That may change when the molars start coming through! No sign of any other teeth just yet.

Linc's Sydney adventures

The family also visited Balmoral Beach as it was a very hot and humid day. Linc got very excited at the waves and just wanted to sit down and play in the water!
As you can see from the background of this photo, a torrential downpour caught us off guard and resulted in us all getting a proper soaking!It's difficult NOT to get a photo with Linc poking his tongue out these days - yep, that tooth is still coming through! Lincoln with his good friend Iggle Piggle...!
