Two nights without kids...
...with the Foo Fighters touring Australia it was a great excuse to dump the kids on the grandparents and head to Sydney for a couple of kid free nights - for the first time ever (for Mum, and as a couple!). It was a well deserved break, as both kids got sick, passed it onto Mum, and then Dad... good times with sleepless nights, vomiting and lots and lots of boogers!

Back to our 'holiday from the kids' - It was weird - not for Dad (who has had a couple of lengthy trips away from the boys), but for Dad and Mum to be together for so long without having to worry about changing nappies, feeding kids, getting home to put the kids to bed, turning the stereo down in the car, staying up too late etc. And it was lovely. We enjoyed a bottle of wine, and watched a movie on the first night, as it rained and rained during the afternoon/evening/night. Luckily it cleared the next day so we had a lovely morning at Bondi Beach and Bondi Junction shopping centre (where we found the Nespresso store!), finishing the afternoon off with beer and wine at the Opera Bar at the Opera House! Then it was off to the concert with 47,000 of our closest friends. The concert was fantastic, although drunk/drugged idiots were in abundance albeit reasonably well behaved.
Despite having a great time away - which was even more enjoyable as the kids behaved themselves so well for Nan and Grandad - we were glad to get back, although Linc wanted to go home with Nan and Grandad, so couldn't have missed us that much!
Dad managed to kick the couch today while killing a fly so has a sore toe - but got some time to experiment with tilt shift photographs... here's an example...:
