| Bruised and swollen, but still manages a big smile! |
We were all hoping that Carter's swollen face would look better this morning... it didn't. In fact, it was worse, with dark bruising spreading across both eyes. After a lot of discussion, and consulting numerous people (as well as the interweb) we decided to take Carter to the hospital, just to be safe. It didn't take long to get admitted to the emergency ward, and we had a lovely Dr. do an assessment and ask hundreds of questions. She then headed off to consult her boss, as well as the paediatric unit at Canberra Hospital before coming back with the answer we were hoping for - which was that he would not need scans and we should just monitor him (if he had to have scans, he would have been sedated... not ideal...). The reason for the increase in swelling/bruising across the bridge of the nose is due to gravity moving the fluids down from his swollen forehead.

Anyway...in other news, LINCOLN USED THE TOILET FOR THE FIRST TIME (for no. 1s)...! We ended up throwing a ping pong ball into the toilet so he could aim at it... seemed to work nicely, although he still got a fair amount on his feet... good times.
